Date night is one of the most important things you can do to keep the spark alive in long-term relationships and enjoy yourself in short-term relationships too!

As a couple, it’s vital to schedule in time when you and your partner get to be alone, get out of the house, and have fun, especially if you have kids. Making time for date night reflects that your relationship is a priority and allows for you and your partner to form a deeper connection by getting to spend quality time together. It’s one of the ways to make sure your relationship succeeds!

Here are some fun date night ideas to do if you’re in Colorado Springs! (Click on the title for the link to the activity.)

  1. Shuga’s

This restaurant is a local treasure and the perfect environment for a cute, little date night. It’s a cozy house converted into a restaurant with craft cocktails and comfort food from around the world. It’s also pretty reasonably priced!

P.S. Try the Spicy Brazilian Soup, it’s to die for.

  1. Broadmoor

From nice Italian restaurants to the gastropub, this historic and luxurious hotel Broadmoor has over 17 restaurant options to choose from. Not hungry? No problem! Get a massage, swing a golf club, or take an adventure. Just make sure you schedule a reservation!

  1. Gold Camp Road

If you’re looking to go on a scenic drive, this is a must. There are also hiking and biking trails to explore!

  1. Rabbit Hole

A one-of-a-kind experience that leads you down a set of stairs to a restaurant located underneath the city. They have eccentric food and cocktails that are hard to compare to any other restaurant in the city. They recommend making a reservation about 2 weeks in advance.

  1. Incline

If you’re looking for a serious-hiking date, the incline is a one-of-a-kind experience. The hike takes most unseasoned pros over an hour but will give you a breathtaking view of the city.

Reservations are required and don’t go when it’s snowy unless you have crampons. It’s definitely the kind of thing you want to plan ahead for.

  1. Skirted Heifer

A delicious burger joint specializing in burgers topped with melted cheese. Their burgers are so good they’ve actually won awards and been featured in Guy Fieri’s “Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives” TV show.

  1. Fine Arts Center

Looking for some class and culture? The Fine Arts Center Museum showcases incredible exhibits and hosts theatre events. Tickets to the museum only cost $10 making this one of the most affordable dates on the list!

  1. Mona Lisa

Fine-dining fondue in Manitou Springs. They offer a 4-course dinner experience where you will be encouraged to savor delicious offerings in a relaxed atmosphere. Guests are encouraged to plan on a dining experience that is at least 2 hours. Reservations recommended.

  1. Red Rock Canyon

Looking for a mellow walk in a stunning setting? This place is perfect! Located just off I-25 there are lots of easy loops to bike or stroll along.

  1. Upstairs Wine Bar

An intimate and cozy wine bar offering wine, of course, cocktails, and spirits. They also offer wine flights! Only open Thursday-Saturday from 6 pm-midnight with reservations only required for parties larger than 6 people.

  1. Mackenzie’s Chop House

Located in downtown Colorado Springs, the chop house is a delicious place to get seafood, steak, and the reason we go martinis! A little on the pricier side, but happy hour is offered Monday – Friday 4-6 pm.

  1. Jorge’s Restaurant

A great place for Mexican food is located in Old Colorado City. Their margaritas are delicious, but watch out! They’re strong too!

  1. Garden of the Gods

A beautiful place to hike, drive, or bike around, but can get a little crowded on the weekends. There are all kinds of things to do so check out what they offer!

  1. Goat Patch Brewery

A local favorite spot. Not only do they offer delicious draft beer, but they also have rotating food trucks. (It’s a family-friendly spot too for non-date nights!)

No matter what you choose, make sure you and your partner commit to doing date night as consistently as you can. It makes it easier if you choose one week a night and stick to it! Have any other date suggestions for Colorado Springs couples? Feel free to share them in the comments!
