Brielle Byrd, MSW, CSWC

My name is Brielle Byrd, MSW, CSWC. I have over 6 years of experience working with children, adolescents/teens, and families. I am experienced working with trauma and substance use/addiction. I enjoy working with adolescents (ages 5+), teens, and families. I also enjoy working with adults of all ages. I am certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy). I aim to help clients achieve their therapy goals whether that is to be more confident in themselves, learn effective communication, and/or set healthy boundaries in their interpersonal relationships.  My approach to therapy is to be empathetic, non-judgmental as well as goal-oriented.

I believe the most important aspect of therapy is to have a relationship based on openness and empathy. My values as a therapist are empathy, trust, dignity, and respect. I enjoy witnessing breakthroughs in my clients as well as helping them achieve goals they did not believe to be possible. I am very open-minded, non-judgmental, caring, and compassionate. I view the person as a whole, regardless of their past or background. Therapeutic Modalities that I utilize are: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, EMDR, and Play Therapy.
