My Background
I began my professional career in 2004 after graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder with two Bachelor degrees; one in Journalism and one in Sociology.
I worked as a Multisystemic Therapist (MST) for Savio House providing intense, family-focused and community-based therapy and treatment for delinquent and problem sexual behaviors in adolescents.
In 2007, I was promoted to supervisor of my MST team. During this time, I went back to school for my Masters in Community Counseling from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs; graduating in 2010.
After passing the National Counselor Exam and obtaining over 2000 hours of clinical experience, I became a Licensed Professional Therapist in 2012.
While at Savio House, I began working part time at Bijou Training and Treatment Institute treating adults with sexual offenses. I have now expanded my skill set and offer psychosexual evaluations as well. I am approved as a treatment provider and evaluator by the Colorado Sex Offender Management Board (SOMB).
I remained at Savio House until December of 2019 when I decided to start my own private practice. That was the beginning of Solace Solutions!
I am a licensed professional therapist in Colorado who has been working with families for over 16 years. I am bilingual and can provide services in English and in Spanish.
I specialize in working with individuals who are struggling with anxiety and depression as well as couples who would like to address their relational conflict. In addition, I also work with at-risk youth and their parents to better overall behaviors and relationships at home and in the community.
I am also approved by the Colorado Sex Offender Management Board and am able to provide Psychosexual Evaluations both in Colorado Springs and off-site as necessary.
